Federal GLOBE-Gay,Lesbian,and Bisexual Employees of the Federal Government |
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is moving toward work force diversity at every level of employment. We must recognize that there are many differences among members of the FAA family and that these differences serve to strengthen us as an organization.
Our diversity can be obvious - such as racial or gender differences, or mobility impairments. Other kinds of diversity may be more subtle - such as national origin, age, sexual orientation, visual or hearing impairment, geographic background, educational level, or an employee's experience with the FAA. We will be selecting employees who reflect the diverse makeup of our Nation and who will make substantial contributions to the FAA mission.
Our leadership positions will be filled with people who value the contributions that employees of diverse backgrounds bring to the workplace. We have an absolute commitment to diversity and we expect the highest standards of leadership in each FAA organization. Our goal is to create an environment that supports and encourages the contributions of all employees.
By working together, we can maintain a work environment in which no individual employed by the FAA is advantaged or disadvantaged for being different and where all employees have the opportunity to develop their potential and contribute fully to the agency. I look forward to working with you to accomplish this goal.
